PLM-squared: Product Lifecycle Management Powers Private Label Merchandise
Private label merchandise continues to have top of mind awareness in the retail ecosystem. Any potential recessionary trend only exacerbates the need to grow this portion of the merchandise mix. On the flip side, 2007 brought a sharp rise in the number of product recalls, and dramatic loss of life and productivity caused by inadequate controls on product development. We conducted a survey similar to another done in 2006 to understand how these circumstances have changed retailers' and other brand managers' point of view of Product Lifecycle Management and supporting technologies.
